Why Authenticity Matters
Are you being sold the idea that you can succeed in business without social media, newsletters, or a blog? Let me tell you, that’s a myth! In today’s fast-paced digital world, content creators are shifting towards being truth-tellers, and it’s time we embrace this reality.
The Myth of Minimal Content
In the age of information overload, it can be tempting to believe that less is more. Some coaches may claim that you don’t need to engage on social media, create a newsletter, or maintain a blog to thrive in your business. I’m here to tell you, that’s simply not true.
Successful business strategies require a blend of networking and consistent content creation. While it’s possible to streamline your efforts once established, you still need at least one of these elements to remain relevant and keep your audience engaged.
No More BS: The Reality of Running a Business
Let’s get real, running a business is hard work and involves wearing many hats. There’s no magic formula that lets you skip the essential steps. If you’re committed to building something meaningful, you need to put in the effort across various channels.
I take solace in knowing that the content I create, be it a blog or newsletter, has lasting value. Unlike the fleeting nature of social media, these pieces won’t just be tomorrow’s chip paper (showing my age a bit there!).
The Journey of Creating My Online Course
I’ve been deeply immersed in developing my online course, Click & Connect. This project has consumed a significant amount of my time, often pulling me away from my family. After countless hours, I finally completed the first module, only to discover I had no clue how to upload and sell it on my Wix website.
Several hours later, well past bedtime, I cracked the code just in time to hear my son’s bedtime complaints. While he was enjoying his dad's company, he wanted my attention. After a few guilt trips, I assured him it will all be worth it when I can use the money earned to take him to Disney! 😊
Finding Balance Between Family and Business
In all honesty, I don’t know where I’d be without my little business. While I adore my family, having a project to work on makes me feel whole and allows me to contribute to our finances. It gives me the freedom to be there for my son, even though it sometimes means stepping away from family moments. However, I believe that in the long run, it’s worth the sacrifices.
Share Your Struggles
What challenges are you facing in your business? If content creation is one of them, I invite you to explore my Click & Connect Training Series on my website. I’ll be adding more modules and resources soon, and your support will help me get my boy to Disney, hopefully easing his little heart! 😊
By embracing the truth-telling trend in content creation, we can build more authentic connections with our audiences. Don’t shy away from sharing your journey and struggles, your experiences can inspire and empower others on similar paths. Thank you to Sarah M for inspiring this blog, one of the best website people out there and the biggest truth-teller I know.
