Timely – How long will this take, typically a good measurable timescale is 3-6months.

 

Once you have clarity on your goals and where you want to be in a specified time frame you can start setting your SWOT Analysis.

Strengths - What you’re good at, what’s working, and what your customers like about you?

Weakness - What you want to fix, what you want to strengthen, and what you want to become more efficient at?

Opportunities - What the industry might soon want, what we think you’ll be good at, what will be your differentiator?

Threats - What you think could hinder your growth, who we think could take your customers?

 

Then you’ll do a competitor analysis. Who do you expect to compete with in your geographical area? Is there anything they are doing that inspires you? If it works for them it may work for you but remember never copy, use only for inspiration.

 

Now you have all the data you need to create your marketing strategy. This is where you detail your product service, your marketing budget, promotion details, the process, the marketing channels you’re going to utilise and the marketing technology you’ll need to achieve these goals.
